Karava Reinterpretation: When Still Life Comes to Life | Contemporary Art
A Fresh Take on Caravaggio’s Masterpiece
The fruit was my biggest challenge in this reinterpretation. Every berry, every leaf demanded the same meticulous attention as the original. I spent hours studying Caravaggio’s shades and composition, discovering new details at every step. Keppu’s big eyes add a childlike sense of wonder that completely transforms the atmosphere of the artwork.
This contemporary version is ideal for those seeking a dialogue between classical and modern art—a vibrant celebration of nature that brings freshness and energy into any interior.
