I chose to reinterpret Frida because she represents the perfect balance between strength and vulnerability. My pop-art style, with its expressive big eyes, transforms her iconic “Self-Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird” into something new and unexpectedly playful.
Two intense hours of work brought this version to life, where Frida’s deep symbolism—the thorns of suffering and the hummingbird of freedom—meets a modern, captivating aesthetic. The result preserves her message of resilience with a lighter touch that makes it more accessible and contemporary.
